POSITION SUMMARY:
Position reports to China sales manager. Provide technical assistance in the design and integration of products in the customer’s applications. Provide technical support to sales staff in determining possible applications of company products to customer requirements. May prepare and present demonstrations and applications of company products. May provide training and follow-up technical support for customers and distributors. Refer any problems to group leader/supervisor. Adhere to all divisional health and safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for product ion assistance to customer and customer liaison of assigned products for designated territories and accounts.
Interprets customer needs and aids the customer in defining technical and commercial requirements.
Works with field sales to manage assigned accounts for product direction, profitability, growth, and attaining sales objectives.
Coordinates activities (training, visits, audits) in territory or customer set in partnership with Field Sales and operations as appropriate.
Professional communications via telephone, fax, letters and in person.
Assists in defining and implementing marketing plans to gain new customers and achieve sales growth objectives.
Uses computer-based tools extensively to drive to “paperless” organization.
Assists in developing standard policies and procedures to support DBS methods and metrics.
Works in laboratory environment to conduct basic testing on an as needed basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years experience in same or similar role
Customer contact and VOC skills
Knowledge of motion control products preferred
Ability to use authority, respect and trust in a balanced manner to get people to achieve goals
Multi-lingual skills necessary, and fluency in English is required
Ability to communicate technical information to customers, field sales
Ability to support both electrical and mechanical products
DUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
Current revenue projection: $6M annually; 3-year revenue projection of $10M annually.
Impact is measured through sales growth, customer satisfaction, and service level metrics.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Sales group (both supervisor and customer service), Marketing group, Engineering group, OpCo leadership team
External: Customers, distributors, vendors
TRAVEL
Must be willing and able to travel by all forms of transportation. Travel 50% of the time.
